The US Army's 442nd Regimental Combat Team (WW2) probably comes close. The 100th/442nd Regimental Combat Team in WWII is the most decorated unit in the US> MIlitary History. They said for its size and lenght of service but so far I did know any Regiment who got more than : 8 President Unit Citations 21 Medal of Honor 53 Distinguished Service Crosses 9.900 Purple heart and so and more. If you know one please name it.

What you're probably looking for is the 442nd Infantry Regiment. This was a regiment that was made up of nisei soldiers - first generation Japanese-Americans, many of whom enlisted straight from the internment camps where the rest of their families remained. They fought in Italy, and very bravely and skillfully. Way too much has been made of the "fact" that its members earned "more medals than any other US regiment of WWII", to illustrate the point that these were loyal and devoted Americans. This is an apples and Oranges comparison.

The 442nd Infantry Regiment was one of the very few "independent" infantry regiments in the WWII US Army. It was created specifically to make a place for the nisei to serve, and was not a part of any division. Every other US regiment was part of an infantry division. Divisions had three regiments.

The 442nd Regiment had an organization very different from every other US infantry regiment. ALL OTHER US INFANTRY REGIMENTS HAD THREE BATTALIONS. The 442nd Infantry had SIX. It was, in fact, two thirds of a division, and had twice the foot soldiers of any other US regiment. So, you would expect that its members would receive about twice the number of decorations when compared to all other US regiments which saw a lot of action and performed well. That's exactly what happened. So to crow about "twice the medals" while ignoring that the 442nd was twice the size of all other US regiments is a very misleading comparison. This is not to detract from the excellent performance of the 442nd Regiment of Infantry. But this continued boasting of its record is a slap at all other US regiments who did just as well. If the point is to prove that these Japanese-Americans fought well and bravely despite the stigma then attached to their nationality, it actually sort of says something pretty nice about the US Army, that, despite the fact the the US was at war with Japan these soldiers' achievements were so generously recognized.
