What languages were spoken by Sinagua Indians?

Like all pre-Colombian native groups we have only archaeological evidence for their culture, which gives no clue about the language or languages they spoke.

Language only survives if it is written in some form and the only Pre-Columbian people in the Americas to have a written form of language are the groups in Mexico and Central America.

We can therefore never know what language was used by the people today termed "Sinagua" (Spanish for "without water"), although there is a Hopi tradition that some of their clans are descended from those ancient people. Such a claim is impossible to confirm.
