Did Germany invade Hawaii?

Germany itself never invaded Hawaii during WWII. On September 27, 1940, Germany, Italy and Japan signed the Tripartite (three-way) Pact which officially created what became known as the Axis .On December 7, 1941, Japan bombed a number of military sites on Hawaii, hoping to cripple the US Pacific Fleet. In reality, Germany's leadership was not pleased that Japan took that action, as it officially brought the United States into the war and thus against Germany (as a member of the Tripartite Pact), who had overrun all of western Europe except Great Britain. While the United States had been supplying Great Britain with supplies under the "Lend-Lease Act," it had remained officially out of the war. When the US declared war on Japan, it also did so against Germany as a member of the Axis.
