In speaking about the early colonists on what is now known as the east coast of the United States, several problems developed. And these problems depended on where the new colonists made their settlements.
Some of the problems facing the new colonists were:
A. Unfavorable relations with Native American peoples;
B. Their unfamiliarity with the new lands & climates caused some food shortages; and
C. There was a lack of medical doctors thus medical care was at times a problem.
Present Andrew Jackson's parents settled in Waxhaws, on the border of North and South Carolina when they first arrived in the colonies.
