During the 50's many Native American children were still being stolen from their families and forced into Residential Schools......others were stolen and adopted out to white Christian families. Native children were dying in Residential schools, and foster homes....buried in unmarked graves so their families couldn't even give them a proper burial. Native women were being sterilized against their knowledge or consent, under the guise of routine medical care....pap smears, inoculations, check-ups...............and that is just the tip of the iceburg.
