What stopped Hitler was the fact that he was quick to make plans but he wouldn't start the attack fast enough. A few examples are when the Germans had the allies trapped at Dunkirk. Hitler ordered his armies to halt all progress even though if they had attacked the British would have surrendered. Not doing Operation Sealion. Many experts say that it would have worked. Invading the Soviet Union, and then calling a halt to his armies befor they could capture Moscow. He then had the divisions headed towards Moscow split in half and sent them to the north and the south and then he ordered them to regroup and take Moscow months later meaning they would be stuck in the Russian winter. Also Hitler was to busy looking for some miricle weapon, even through he had the most technological advaced military in the world, by doing this he used up all Germany's resources.
