"funny tanks" including the "Flail Tank" which was very effective in the role
of a mine clearance vehicle.
The machine guns were MG-42s, which are an improvement on the MG-34, then there were also MP-40s, which are the first sub machine guns, and there were also the Mauser Karbine (kar for short) 1898s which are bolt action I'm going to go with 8mm bullets. I am not positive but the STG-44, or MP-44 (which ever you prefer) which was the first assault rifle which was first counted as an assault rifle and sub machine gun, in which the AK (automatic Kaleshnikov) 1947 was based off of which was build by a Russian tank general. I think but am not positive but I think the MP in MP-40/MP-44 stands for machenen pistole which means sub machine gun in German.

In world war one it is thought that over 100 different weapons were used between the Germans and the English. It is commonly belived that the Germans had a wider range of weapons than the English, whilst we mainly used one weapon (bolt-action rifle) and rarley machine guns, the Germans weapons would consist of plenty. to find out more e-mail me at matt_rules4eva@msn.com
Winchester used to call a rifle that disassembled into two parts-their "takedown model." If your rifle is a "takedown" rifle, it's a paratrooper model. Could be a Type 38 (6.5mm) or a Type 99 (7.7mm), then if it's a takedown...it might have another designation; like Type 2 (as an example). If it's in original condition (and good condition), they could go about 2 thousand dollars to a collector.
how many tanks were there durind dday
The KAR98k was used as the standard-issue rifle of the German army in WWII. They used it for close-range and long range shooting and for snipers. It was the most used gun in combat for the Germans.

The Arisaka Type 38 Rifle and the Arisaka Type 44 Rifle both used a 6.5 mm bullet whereas the Arisaka Type 99 Rifle used a 7.7 cartridge . The Nambu Type 14 Handgun used an 8 mm cartridge .
Assuming that the question should read "what sniper rifle did the Germans use in world war 2" the answer is as follows: Most commonly the K98 Mauser was used, with an optical sight. Secondly the G41 semi-automatic rifle was used, designed by Walther. Also fitted with an optical sight.
8mm Lebel
