It was called the German-Russo Non-Aggression Pact signed in Aug 1939 before both invaded Poland Sept 1, 1939. It was agreed that the eastern area of Poland would be occupied by Soviets and the west including Warsaw, would be in control of Germany. At the same time, Stalin invaded all 3 Baltic countries and easily took control. This pact really benefitted Germany by providing them with immense quanities of raw materials including oil, for their military. Militarily, it prevented a 2-front war when Germany invaded the west on May 10th, 1940. The Russians also looked the other way, when Germany invaded Yugoslavia and Greece in April 1941 and occupied both countries.
That Alliance was called the Warsaw Pact. It was dissolved in 1989.
Germany and the Soviet Union created a secret alliance through the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in August 1939 primarily to ensure mutual military support and territorial expansion without interference from each other. This non-aggression treaty allowed Germany to invade Poland without fear of Soviet intervention, while the Soviets gained control over Eastern Poland and the Baltic states. Both nations sought to strengthen their positions in Europe and achieve their respective geopolitical goals, despite their ideological differences.

Warsaw Pact
Germany was in alliance with Italy and Japan, although Japan was a little too far away to be of any use to Germany, and Italupy eventually succumbed to Allied forces and had hoped to surrender without a fight, with their frightful dictator Mussolini dead. Russia was also in an alliance with Germany, although that changed when Germany invaded that Soviet Union in hopes of gaining all the land the Soviet Union held.
