they were lonely Children were terrified, as the adults were, at the time. Rebellious feelings were stirred up in them, because their parents could be gone both at the same time. They were deprived of love at times, as child care was at one of its lowest points.
If you would care to read the documents on the Australian POW's in Germany were much better treated, in a more humane way then the ways that the Japanese were treating the Australians. Although it still must be looked upon. Hope I Could help :)

The only Australian City bombed in WW2 was Darwin.? Incorrect; There were 97 air attacks by the Japanese on Australian Military/towns/Cities throughout World War Two. Darwin was actually bombed on 64 occasions during the war. The other Australian Cities/Towns attacked during the 'Battle For Australia' during World War Two were: Wyndham, Port Hedland, Derby, Katherine, Townsville and Mossman amongst many others.

Modern Australian kids can eat a variety of things! Some children may like some things and others may not. Also, diets eg. vegetarianism, would have to be considered.
