good, compared to other countries in WW1 at that time.

They did have rationing (where you only could buy a certain amount of food).

Also a shortage of materials, and the constant worry of loved ones dying in the war.

Also occasional air raids by zeppelins on major cities die make life a bit more dangerous. (however the air raids were generally a failure).

But compared to countrys like Germany, Austria Hungary & Russia (who were literally starving), the civilian populace of Great Britain had a pretty nice life.
