As the SS soldiers tried to rush the prisoners from the camp she was in on a march to keep them from liberation, a soldier panicked and shot Melanie in the leg. She was left to die instead of the usual of being dragged to keep going. When she was saved it took 16 officers to convince her that she wasn't being poisoned and set up to die. Her body was so weak and emaciated that she didn't recognize herself. Doctors had to give her liquid food for weeks because her body couldn't handle the solid food for a while. She was never able to find her family. She says that she tells her story in remembrance of them and of the families lost in the horrors of the Holocaust.
The Ku Klux Klan is one. I hope that helped!!
they got beaten and treated just like the adults
They were treated like every other Jew captured no acceptations.
The US constitution pre-dated the Holocaust by about 150 years, it did not prevent the Holocaust happening the first time. The Holocaust happened very far away from the USA, whether the US even had a constitution was totally irrelevant.
Oh, dude, no way! The Holocaust happened during World War II, like a looong time ago. It's not still going on, thank goodness. That would be like the longest, most terrible event in history if it was still happening.
Hitler didn't like the Jews having cream puffs
The social climate was not strong because of everything that happened.

They were usually given the opportunity to opt out of duties like that.

Oh, dude, those people are like flat-earthers - living in their own little world. The Holocaust definitely happened, like, there's tons of evidence and survivors who can attest to it. Denying it is just plain ignorant and disrespectful.

They were set free, just like the rest of the Holocaust survivors that made it out of the war.
It was for the viewer to realize what happened in the holocaust and feel sorry for everyone who died. like if you cried :'(
Arrested I suppose. Whatever they got it was like the country getting grounded. Thanks to the Berlin Wall.
