It is a circular bronze medallion, Tiffany struck Campaign Medal (Officially Not a Commemorative) bearing the likeness of Commodore Dewey in profile on the obverse and a sailor sitting on a gun barrel on the reverse with each reverse stamped with the name of the ship and on the bottom rim, the name of the recipient.
