The Sons of Liberty
Some of the famous names of the Sons of Liberty were Samuel Adams and Benjamin Franklin.
The people that did this were boys and members of the sons of liberty. As you may know they did this to protest the tea that the british sent over. This was just the beginning of the war that was soon to come.
The event that followed the Boston Massacre was the Boston Tea Party, which took place on December 16, 1773. It was a political protest where a group of American colonists dumped tea into the Boston Harbor to protest against the Tea Act imposed by the British government. This event is considered to be one of the key events leading up to the American Revolution.
The Boston tea party was not an organized event. It just happened.
The term "Intolerable Acts" was coined by the American colonists in response to a series of punitive measures imposed by the British government in 1774. These acts, aimed at suppressing dissent following the Boston Tea Party, included the Boston Port Act and the Massachusetts Government Act, among others. The colonists viewed these laws as oppressive and unjust, which ultimately fueled their desire for independence. Thus, the name reflects their perspective on British actions rather than the British government's intention.

The painting depicts the Boston Tea Party, a pivotal event in 1773 when American colonists protested against British taxation without representation. Dressed as Mohawk Indians, they boarded British ships and dumped 342 chests of tea into Boston Harbor as a direct challenge to British authority. This act of defiance fueled tensions that ultimately led to the American Revolution.
I'm an eighth grader who recently studied the acts. The intolerable acts was the name the colonists reffered to those acts as. The British reffered to it as the coercive acts. Anyways, it closed the port of Boston until all the tea dumped from the Boston tea party was payed off, it also allowed the quartering of soldiers once again. It also limited the amount of self-government in the state of MA.
