The precedent set in 1200 for more representative government is known as the "Magna Carta." Signed by King John of England, it established the principle that the monarchy's powers were limited by law and that certain rights were granted to the barons and, by extension, to the broader population. This foundational document laid the groundwork for the development of parliamentary systems and the idea of individual rights, influencing future democratic governance.
== == A United States Representative is supposed to be the common persons voice in the United States government. The House Of Representatives joins the Senate in forming the legislative arm of our government, that part which writes and passes laws. Because a Representative only serves a two year term, it was thought that they would be more in touch with the average person, as opposed to Senators, who serve a six year term, and are more likely to be older, more affluent, and removed from everyday life.
The National Government had more power over states because the government is the whole thing put into one. The governor of the state has more power then a mayor or a representative like that. I also love to pop shot and Mw2 cause im beat like that. It takes skill to snipe like that GoML kids!
In a large country like the US it is more practical to have a representative democracy than a direct one. With such a large and diverse population this form of government can be seen as much more practical.
More than 1200.
A departure from precedent normally only occurs if the precedent in question is thought to be incorrect or inapplicable. This is particularly evident through the legislatures who subscribe to the Legal Realism frame of thought. These judges are more inclined to take the economic and social realities into account when departing from the precedent. When Civil Rights decisions were being made, it was these Legal Realist that made the dramatic changes in law that occurred during that time.
The model Parliament, held in 1295 by King Edward I of England, established the precedent of including commoners in legislative decision-making alongside nobles and clergy. This helped pave the way for the eventual establishment of a more representative form of government in England.
lol
The 13 colonies wanted to form a representative government in order to form a single voice that would represent them in a more perfect union. They didn't want any more than one voice representing them.
The US government would be a lot more open if it was far less partisan. If our representative cared more about what the people wanted or needed instead of protecting their (party) territory.
A residency is the official home of a government representative in a foreign country. More specifically in former times, the official residence of the representative of a British Governor at a Native Indian Court
For people who are living in a representative democracy, yes. Continuing to live with this kind of government means that the people are better represented and their interests are more likely to be heard depending on who is voted in.
Technically, no. By definition, all republics are representative in some form, since "republic" means "rule by elected officials", and elected officials are representative of the people who elected them. To use the term "representative republic" is just redundant. While it was used in the past by at least one of the founding fathers of the United States of America, it actually doesn't mean any more than just saying "republic". However, there are many countries that call themselves republics that are actually run by military dictatorships or religious leaders, and do not really have representative government, so the term "representative republic" could be used to emphasize countries that are truly representative.

If a trade barrier was increased, this means that the government will be restricting global change more. This would limit the amount of products that is traded
Need more information, as to what level, and representative for what.
Representative democracy has an advantage in comparison to direct democracy, because the more citizens you have, the more difficult it becomes for them all to get together and make a collective decision about anything. It is not impossible, and even in our representative system we sometimes hold a referendum so that everybody can make their wishes known, however, it is not feasible to hold a referendum every time the government needs to make a decision about anything. Elected officials could study issues carefully.
A representative government is more practical than the direct democracy of ancient Greece because it allows for efficient decision-making in larger and more complex societies. Representatives can devote time to understanding issues and crafting legislation, whereas direct participation by all citizens can lead to chaos and inefficiency. Additionally, representative systems can better accommodate diverse populations and viewpoints, ensuring that a broader range of interests is considered in governance. This structure also helps manage the logistical challenges of involving every citizen in every decision.
