She never returned to Versailles after she was seized by the sans-culotte.
In 1800 there was no longer a monarchy in France, since Napoleon Bonaparte had committed a coup and declared himself emperor, making France an Empire (officially in 1804). The last queen of France was Marie Antoinette (1755 - 1793).
