Japanese soldiers in World War 2 were cruel to their enemies. The Chinese still resent Japanese today for what they did during World War 2. The Chinese government wanted Japan to admit their crimes and apologize for what they've done, but they are still waiting today. The crimes committed by Japanese soldiers in China were briefly known among the Western world. Unlike the Germans, who admitted and apologized to the Jews for the atrocities they committed, won the forgiveness of many people. In the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland, the German Prime Minister apologized and said the Germans felt shameful for what they've done. The Japanese government did nothing of this sort. The Japanese history text books edited out some of the most horrific massacres that occurred, while the Germans forbade the exclusion of the Holocaust.
