Some of the dangers to crops in Egypt could have been the severe heat and lack of water. The crops depended on the Nile river, and once it flooded, the farmers would know whether or not the crops could succeed. If it did not flood enough, they would die, but if it flooded too much, they would drown, and the water would reach their houses.
