One of the biggest advantages for the Colonists was, as they say in sports, the 'home court advantage'. They knew the countryside, the people, the weather, ect. King George had more money, bigger ships, better weapons but they could not be assembled at a moment's notice. Months were spent just crossing the 'pond'. Colonist's had a psycological advantage also. Their cause was freedom. They wanted to govern themselves, and any taxes raised would build a new country, not go into the King's coffers. Taxation without representation would not be tolerated any longer.
They had the homefield advantage. In other words they knew the geography and the terrain better then the British.
Really, not much. The colonists were kind of weak.
