Susan Brownell Anthony worked very hard for many equal rights causes. Her main was woman's suffrage, which was giving women the right to vote. She and Elizabeth Cady Stanton started the National Women's Suffrage Association. They worked very hard at it for 51 years. Shortly after her death, the Nineteenth Amendment, also known as the Anthony Amendment, gave women in the U.S. the right to vote everywhere. She also fought against slavery and to prohibit alcohol.
