THE IRISH FIGHT IN THE WAR
England had complete power over Ireland thus starting a Revolution because the Irish wanted to be an independent country.

I believe that the "rich Irish man" who funded the American Revolution did not exist. I agree with the 1st . I have not read about any Irish people assisting with the war financially. plus the Irish presence mostly started just before the Potato famine.
Because of the potato famine (1845-1852) 1.5 million Irish left their country. In 1847, more than 200,000 Irish emigrated, but 1851 was the peak year for most Irish emigration, estimated that 250,000 Irish emigrated from Ireland in that year alone.

Athbhliain faoi mhaise dhuit is an Irish Gaelic equivalent of 'Prosperous New Year'.
The Irish Revolution, often referred to as the Irish War of Independence, began in 1919 and was a conflict between Irish republicans and British forces. It emerged from a long history of Irish resistance to British rule, with significant events leading up to it including the 1916 Easter Rising. The revolution aimed to establish an independent Irish Republic, ultimately resulting in the Anglo-Irish Treaty of 1921 and the subsequent establishment of the Irish Free State in 1922. The conflict primarily took place in Ireland, particularly in areas like Dublin and rural provinces.
