I'm Henrietta Bradberry I was born up in Franklin, Kentucky. I grow up Chicago, Illinois. I only had a formal grade school education. I was married. Since I was a house wife I spent most of my time cleaning, cooking, ironing, and taking care of my family.
While I was at home I had a lot of time to think and come up with different ideas. I came up with two inventions. In 1941 I invented a bed rack; it was used to air out clothes that have already been worn on. May 25, 1943 my first invention got patented. In 1943 in invented a torpedo discharger. It was an underwater canon used in world war ll. This invention was patented on December 11, 1945.
I attempted to find buyers for my patent rights, but this never happened I became very disappoint. I did not make money for my hard work. I passed away on May 17, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois.

It is not possible for Sarah Boone, the black inventor known for her improvements to the ironing board, to have been born in 1842 and died in 1744. This is a chronological inconsistency, as one cannot be born after their death. Boone was actually born in 1832 and died in 1904, reflecting a more accurate historical timeline.
No. Emmett Chappelle was a notable black inventor who holds 14 patents. He was born in 1925. Slavery was outlawed by then.
