Was there ever a theater on the end of the llandudno pier?

The main building at the end of Llandudno pier (which should be described as the Pierhead Pavilion - see photo in Links section below) was originally built as a bandstand, then later expanded into a theater but one which was used mainly for orchestral recitals. However, it did play host to Pierrot shows in the early years of the 20th century. Its internal appearance resembled a theater, in that it had a stage, proscenium arch and rows of seating. Its theater use ceased entirely in the mid 1970s, when it was converted to an amusement arcade. The main theater on the pier was the much larger Pier Pavilion, which was situated at the pier entrance - look in the related links below for the full information.

Is Llandudno the only town built on a tombolo?

Llandudno is not the only town built on a tombolo, but it is one of the most notable examples. A tombolo is a landform that connects an island to the mainland, and while Llandudno connects to the Great Orme, there are other towns and settlements worldwide that are also situated on tombolos. Examples include Tynemouth in England and the town of Mont Saint-Michel in France. Therefore, while Llandudno is significant, it is not unique in this regard.
