The USS Cobia, SS 245, is a Gato Class fleet submarine, built by the Electric Boat Company of Groton, Connecticut. The Cobia was launched on November 28, 1943. She is preserved as a memorial and museum ship in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, adjacent to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, which is on the shipyard that produced twenty-eight other fleet submarines in WWII.
