He spent much time in his youth pouring over old occult books found German public libraries & the entire Nazi movement is plastered with ancient symbols & runes which far predate anything Christian. Specifically, Helen Blavatasky's Secret Doctrine, which goes into detail about the Jews as a lower caste. Composer Richard Wagner & his heroic Germanic operas like the Ring cycle added further fuel to Hitler's romantic yearning for a renewed age of gods walking amongst mortal men. Frederich Nietzsche also, who outlined the coming of the Ubermensch, the Supermen, the next stage of evolution freed from the slave ethos of Christianity which the Nazi's wanted to force on to Humanity to wipe away decadent modern life. Much of what could be termed 'New Age' today had a start in Nazi Germany, in fact.
