Ann Arbor, Detroit, Iron Mountain, Kingsford, and Norway are places where Italians live in Michigan. Ann Arbor and Detroit can be accessed in the lower southeast of the state, at the base of the "thumb" feature of the mitten-like configuration which the twenty-sixth state conveys. Iron Mountain, Kingsford, and Norway may be found in the Upper Peninsula, accessed by the Mackinac Bridge from Lower Michigan and by back roads and highways from the physical border with northeastern Wisconsin.
