Compared to the rest of the world, most are. However, there are some people that do not have homes to live in and have to survive by begging. Within the United States, there are people that are considered wealthy and those that are considered poor, but most of the poor still have a place to sleep for the night and adequate clothing; that is not necessarily true for the poor in many other places in the world.
Rich Greeks would of had bedrooms with beds made of wood and have weaving of wood to hold the hay/leaves with fabric for blankets. Poor Greeks would normally sleep on the floor with a scattering of hay/leaves.

Yes. Sleep apnea disrupts the normal cycles of your sleep. You may sleep the entire night but you do not reach the normals stages of sleep. a stage called REM sleep is especially important for your mental health. People with sleep apnea are almost always low in REM sleep. Thus they can have mental issues. The simple lack of sleep will cause fatigue and poor mental function as well.

In sleep apnea people enter REM sleep just fine. The problem is that when the muscles relax in the first part of REM sleep the airway collapses and they stop breathing. This interrupts the sleep cycle and they get poor sleep amongst other problems. Not entering REM sleep causes what is known as "REM sleep behavior disorder". They do not have the normal paralysis that accompanies the dream stages of REM sleep so they may act out dreams. Sleepwalking is one example. For more information see the link below.
