Richard Nathaniel Wright [September 4, 1908-November 28, 1960] was a writer of nonfiction, novels, and short stories. He wrote his first story, 'The Voodoo of Hell's Half-Acre', at the age of 15. Through a Guggenheim Fellowship, he wrote his first novel, 'Native Son', which was published in 1940. Six years later, he moved to France, where he died from a heart attack. He's buried in LePere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.
