In homes, schools, libraries, etc. because the Odyssey is a classic, epic poem written by Homer. It recounts the ten year journey of the hero Odysseus (the Romans called him Ulysses) after the fall of Troy. One of the gods was mad with him and continually threw obstacles in his path back to Ithaca, his home, where his faithful wife, Penelope, patiently waited for his return. When he finally made it home his old dog was the first to recognize him.

answer 2

Odyssey was the story of Odysseus, not a place. His adventures took place throught the Mediterranian sea.
