It is pretty much everywhere in the Middle East. The oil rich countries are the ones currently drilling, but most of the Middle East has oil reserves.

Most oil though is not in that portion of the world. The United States has the two largest reserves in the world. The Green Valley reserve and the Baikin reserve may hold more then all of the middle east. Environmental rules prevent us from exploiting this reserve.

The above is not necessarily correct. Petroleum in the Middle East is predominantly found around the Persian Gulf area and in the larger North African countries. No Levant country nor Turkey has any current access to petroleum. Israel, however, is trying to mine for petroleum within its territorial waters.
