John Kennedy was assassinated as the Presidential motorcade was on Elm Street, in Dealey Plaza, in Dallas, Texas. The first shot was fired a few seconds after the motorcade turned from Houston Street onto Elm Street, and the headshot (fatal shot) was fired 6-8 seconds later.

He was sitting in the back seat of Presidential Limousine code-named SS-100X, with his wife, Jackie, to his left.

He was pronounced dead thirty minutes later at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
