Amendments 1-10 established most civil rights, the 13th ended slavery, the 14th amendment required equal protection and rights under law, the 15th amendment banned denying equal rights based on race, and the 19th amendment gave women the right to vote.
men and women were always equal. they were created equal. they were technically always entitled to the same things. if you are talking about legally, it depends on the nation and situation. in the us, technically the 14th amendment made all people have equal protection under the law in 1868. the 19th amendment actually gave women the right to vote in 1920 yep. hope this helps :)
The 14th amendment to the U.S. Constitution has three clauses: the citizenship clause; the due process clause; and the equal protection clause. The citizenship clause essentially gave all blacks citizenship. The due process clause prevented state and local governments from denying persons (individual and corporate) of life, liberty and property without meeting certain requirements. The equal protection clause requires all states to provide equal protection to all individuals under its jurisdiction. The equal protection clause became the basis of the supreme court decision that dismantled racial segregation.
