There was no time limit or constraint as to how long or how little a dynasty could rule. A dynasty in ancient China was basically the time period where people of same lineage (family) were the ruling authority or in imperial China's case : emperor. A dynasty started when China was under full (or near full) control of a new family and ended when the emperor of that family was deposed. Thus there were no time limits.
A family of kings, called a "dynasty," began ruling China with great vigor, developing solid political institutions, and encouraging active economies. Each dynasty over time grew weaker, tax revenues declined, and social divisions occurred as the population outstripped available resources. In addition, internal rebellions and sometimes invasions from the outside contributed to each dynasty's decline. As the ruling dynasty began to falter, usually another one arose from the family of a successful general, invader, or peasant and the pattern started anew.
The Mongol Empire, under the leadership of Kublai Khan, invaded China and established the Yuan Dynasty in 1271. This marked the first time in history that the entirety of China was ruled by a foreign power. The Mongol invasion significantly impacted Chinese society, economy, and culture, blending elements of Mongolian and Chinese traditions. The Yuan Dynasty lasted until 1368, when it was overthrown by the Ming Dynasty.

No. A dynasty is only used to refer to a period of time in the feudal society. In this period of time, a family dominated a large area. They gave their realm a name, which is the name of the dynasty. Since China is not always a whole, sometimes there were several dynasties in the same time. For example, we all know the Song dynasty(960~1279),but in the same time, there were still other dynasties. There were Liao Dynasty (907~1125),Jin dynasty(1115~1234)(They were the ancestors of the people who created Qing dynasty),and Xixia(1038~1227). Qing dynasty(1636~1911) is the last dynasty of China. Mikhail Romanov, a 16-year-old relative of the last ruling dynasty, was chosen to restore order and unify the country. His election marked the beginning of over 300 years of Romanov rule in Russia.
