1. Back in the 1960s/1970s/1980s returning Viet War vets "normally" didn't want to attract any attention...because all that did was start arguments or commence unemployment proceedings (supervisors, peers, complaints, etc.). So, silence and compliance was the name of the game.
2. Now...those Viet War vets are in their very late 50s or 60s and aging accordingly, and are only vaguely beginning to "come out of their shell(s)." However there is a price to pay for their late "opening" up...their memories are faded and life after Vietnam has absorbed their remaining years. Very very little about the Vietnam War attracts Viet Vets except for their "brothers" that were in country during their era. That will almost always be an attraction.
