Well, its because makkah leaders didn't really like Muhammed, so they did it on purpose.

Another important reason too, is the fact that the Makkah leaders were Idol Worshippers thus they did not like Mohamed (peace be upon him) as he was inviting people to worship one unique divine all perfect God (Allah). Also, Mohamed showed the inperfection and helplessness of the Idols same as his great father, prophet Ibraham, showed during his time that the Idols are helpless and can not benifit or harm or have no control over human lives.

God bless

The Huguenots were French Protestants who followed the teachings of John Calvin and faced persecution in predominantly Catholic France. They were particularly upset with King Louis XVI after he revoked the Edict of Nantes in 1685, which had granted them religious freedom and civil rights. This revocation led to renewed persecution, forcing many Huguenots to flee the country in search of safety and religious tolerance. Their discontent stemmed from the loss of protections and the increased threat to their faith and livelihood.

How did church upset reformers?

Churches upset reformers by maintaining practices and doctrines that reformers viewed as corrupt or contrary to biblical teachings, such as the sale of indulgences and the emphasis on tradition over scripture. Reformers like Martin Luther and John Calvin sought to return to a more authentic interpretation of Christianity, advocating for reforms that emphasized personal faith and direct access to the scriptures. The church’s resistance to these changes fueled conflicts, leading to significant religious upheaval and the eventual splintering of Christianity during the Reformation.
