First Battle of Bull RunThe 1st Bull Run was in fact the first battle of the Civil War. The Attack on Fort Sumter only "led" to the Civil War.
The attack on Fort Ticonderoga was led by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold on May 10, 1775. They were leaders of the Green Mountain Boys, a militia group from Vermont. The successful capture of the fort was significant as it provided the Continental Army with valuable artillery and supplies for the Revolutionary War.
It was mainly made up of free slaves, it was led by Robert Shaw. They were most famous on their attack of fort wagner.

The Second Battle of Fort Wagner took place during the Civil War. It's significant in that it was led by the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, a unit made up of black soldiers, who proved themselves to any who doubted their capability.
Ethan Allen, and Benedict Arnold, with the Green Mountain Boys made a surprise attack on the British and took the Fort. The cannon that they took with the fort was later used in Boston.
The Regiment led the infantry assault, and were all but wiped out. Fort Wagner was never taken
The African American unit that led the attack on Fort Wagner was the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment. This regiment, composed predominantly of African American soldiers, fought bravely during the assault on July 18, 1863, as part of the Union's efforts in the Civil War. Their courageous charge, despite heavy casualties, played a significant role in changing perceptions about African American soldiers in the military.
The firing on fort sumter led to the battle of bunker hill.
