The Australian War Memorial first began with Charles Bean an Australian World War I historian. He had an idea to pay tribute to the soldiers that fought for the freedoms for Australiaâ??s residents. Emil Sodersten and John Crust were Sydney architects that created the design and construction plans for the memorial.
