Che Guevera wrote the Manual in 1961, Chairman Mao, the Vietnamese, the American Indians, the Afghans, Fidel Castro and Marshall Tito were masters at it. In the US it is taught at Military Academy's and the CIA has specialists who are skilled at creatilng Guerilla Armies. It has been around since pre-history and has been used by nations when they can't mount an equal force against their opposition. ---- A lot of the credit should go to the Afrikaner Boers, who handed the British many military defeats. They eschewed uniforms, fighting in their working clothes which blended in with their surroundings. They declined to fight in the British square type formation, and fought a hit and run strategy which gave the Brits the idea of abandoning their red and other bright colour uniforms and adopting khaki instead.
