A:Until the time of the Reformation, it was easy for most people in Western Europe to define a heretic. He was someone who was not obedient to the Catholic Church. With the coming of the Reformation, we had the situation that for Catholics, Protestants were heretic; for Protestants, Catholics were heretics; and for both, Anabaptists were heretics.
