The ultra-conservative New England Missionaries were pious, conservative, prudent and god fearing individuals who loved the Mumu, celibicy, chastity and purity.
They were an Odd Couple to share an Island Paradise. Whaling died out but left the depredation behind them. The Missionaries left therir progeny behind who plundered the Islands, overthrew the Monarchy, and virtually enslaved a million people in search of sandlewood, sugar and pineapple fortunes.
