Gene Autry, Eddie Albert, James Arness, Ernest Borgnine, Mel Brooks, Charles Bronson, Richard Burton, Art Carney, Julia child (OSSS in Ceylon & China), Tony Curtis, Kirk Douglas, Henry Fonda, Glenn Ford, Clark Gable, Alan Hale, Audrey Hepburn (as a child she was a courier for WW 2 resistance fighters in Holland), William Holden, Lilain Jackwood, Burt Lancaster, Jack Lemmon, Steve McQueen, Audie Murphy, Carl Reiner, to name just a few. There were many more. Bob Hope, Martha Raye, Danny Thomas, etc., were great entertainers for the troops. It was a melting pot of famous people .. poets, scientists, artists, etc.
