To be democratic or republican may still be considered an abstract (more generalized), while getting to the level of a specific polical party in either camp, in the sense of supporting that party's views and agendas, would be considered more concrete (specifically defined).
True
The Democratic Party. The modern Democratic Party, with it's penchant for a large federal bureaucracy and massive government, is hardly representative of Jefferson's political views. At the same time, the modern Republican Party, with it's policies of restrictive social liberty, would not be home for Jefferson either. Jefferson's type of Republicanism would more likely be comparative to the modern day Libertarian Party, with it's focus on State's rights, personal and economic liberty, and non-intrusive military policy.
Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal policies in the 1930s significantly shifted African American party allegiance from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party. The economic relief and social programs aimed at combating the Great Depression provided much-needed support to marginalized communities, including African Americans, who had felt largely neglected by the Republican administration. Additionally, the Democratic Party's increasing embrace of civil rights issues during and after Roosevelt's presidency helped solidify this shift, fostering a sense of political loyalty that would persist for decades.
The Republican/Conservative party would be more likely to support a strong military. Democrats have different views, many believe that war isn't the right way to settle differences.
There are two political party in the usa and they are the republican party and the democratic party
I would say Southern states nowadays are generally carried by the Republican party. However, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries the South tended to vote for the Democrats, who were ideologically different than today's Democratic party.
One source would be the Democratic Party website.
I would think neither of them do. In America there are two major parties, Democratic and Republican. But if the Socialist Party of America became a major party from a minor there would be many more jobs and therefore less unemployment.
That depends on your political party. A Republican would believe that a Republican president is best, while a Democrat would believe that a Democratic president is best.
Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison were the creators of the Democratic-Republican party, and James Monroe was a famous person in that party too.
Most young people side with the Democratic Party, then many of them switch to the Republican Party as they gain wisdom and experience over the years.

President Obama is not a party. He is a member of a party. In America, there are two major (and several other minor) political parties. Mr. Obama is a member of the Democratic Party-- so, we would say he is a Democrat.
The Democratic-Republican Party was founded by Thomas Jefferson, they thought that less government power was needed to secure peoples rights. The Federalist Party was founded by Alexander Hamilton, they thought that more government power was needed to secure people rights (which included a strong military). Both of these founders where in George Washington's Cabinet. George Washington did not choose a favorable side, however, he did not believe in a Political Parties. He remained neutral. A Federalist back then would be considered to be a modern day Republican. A Democratic-Republican back then would be considered to be a modern day Democrat. Lincoln would form the Republican party. Andrew Jackson Formed the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party would also be less commonly known as The Jefferson-Jackson Party.
He was neither. The Republicans and Democratic parties didn't exist when he was president. There were people called Federalist and Antifederalist. Monroe would have been a Federalist. He took part in writing the constitution.
In the United States presidential election of 1824, John Quincy Adams was elected President on February 9, 1825, after the election was decided by the House of Representatives. The previous few years had seen a one-party government in the United States, as the Federalist Party had dissolved, leaving only the Democratic-Republican Party. In this election, the Democratic-Republican Party splintered as four separate candidates sought the presidency. Such splintering had not yet led to formal party organization, but later the faction led by Andrew Jackson would evolve into the Democratic Party, while the factions led by John Quincy Adams and Henry Clay would become the National Republican Party and later the Whig Party.
