French Revolution is an important event in the history of France and world. The French people were not happy with the functioning of King Louis XI and his lady Queen Marie Antoinette.

The Royals and the king lived a very luxurious life. The palace of King was famous across several other countries for its beauty and the Queen lavishly spent the people's money.

On the other hand, the commoners were very poor. They were not given equal rights and opportunities. This led to widespread distrust among the people towards the royality.

They formed their own group naming it "The Third Estate". They demanded equal rights and took the famous "Oath of the tennis court".

When their demands were discarded, stormed at the prison of Bastille and broke free the prisoners. It was that event which is regarded as the start of French Revolution.

After that the declaration of "The rights of the man and the citizen" took place in August 1789.

Then the angry commoners marched to the palace of Versailles and captured the King and Queen.

In 1792 the nation was declared a republic and the King was executed next year.

To what lands did revolution spread in 1830?

It is not quite right to say that the French Revolution spread to other places in 1830 (since a revolution is not an epidemic). However, the ideologies behind the French Revolution of 1830 can be said to have spread throughout Europe. The Revolution of 1830 in France brought about a July Monarchy, a constitutional monarchy that doubled the number of eligible voters. The King became the king of the French, not the king of France (a significant difference there that places the people in priority). This idea that the change for the good of the people was a possibility spread to Belgium and Poland. In Belgium, the city of Brussels rebelled against its union with Holland. In Poland, an anti-Russian insurrection was destroyed Constantine's (the tsar's brother who was head of Poland) authority. A similar situation occurred in Great Britain, where Liberals opposed the Whig party and demanded a fairer representation system of Parliament.
