Clydebank was a major industrial town, particularly involved in shipbuilding.
They did more than consider it. The US dropped almost 1.5 million tons of explosives on German war targets.
During WW II, Germany attacked Britain, and Britain retaliated. That's what happens in times of war. You bomb me, and I'll bomb you. Fortunately all of that is over, and Britain and Germany are good friends in the 21st century.
Yes. Cardiff in Wales and Clydebank in Scotland were heavily bombed because of the docks and shipbuilding located there.
Germany was an ally to Japan so theyidn't bomb them. It is because the US declared war on Japan after Pearl Harbor that Germany declared war on the US. Germany backed Japan. __ During WW1, they were not allies. With the exception of a number of battles between German and Japanese troops (mostly in German possessions in the Far East and the Siege of Tsingtao, China), there was very little contact between the two countries. Germany didn't manage to bomb Japan during WW1, and it was an ally in WW2.
If the atomic bomb was dropped on Germany during World War II, it could have potentially ended the war sooner and with less casualties. The impact on history and the world would have been significant, as it would have changed the course of the war and the post-war era.

Blitzkrieg tactics are fast, surprise attacks on a country using planes and bombs, and a lot of infantry. A country, such as Germany, will fly over a country and bomb it, and then send a large army in to finish the attack. They will then leave the country before the country being attacked could gather their military and defend themselves. Since the attack was usually a surprise to the country being attacked, they don't have time to prepare, which makes the attacks very successful. Blitzkrieg tactics are also called lightning tactics, and Germany used them on Poland during the Lightning War.
London was one

No. By the time the US dropped the atomic bomb on Japan, Germany had already surrendered. While Germany did have a nuclear weapons program during the war, it did not actually get to the point that they were capable of building a working bomb.
a rocket type bomb developed by Germany during WW2 and used against England and allied forces
Germany was developing an atomic bomb during World War II but the country was overrun by the Allies before the bomb could be perfected.
Germany never had an atomic bomb.
Germany has not made a nuclear bomb.
Well, Because Great Britain is an Island and Britain has the best naval force. Germany was unable to use blitzkrieg effectively and could not penetrate the powerful British navy, so the only thing Germany could do was to fly over and bomb the cities.
Clydebank near Glasgow had a big shipyard at it's heart (John Brown yards I think) - I would imagine they were trying to bomb that, or they just got lost and were aiming for the other major shipyards on and around the Clyde in Glasgow proper.
