People were drawn to settle in Birmingham, Alabama, primarily due to its strategic location and rich Natural Resources. Established in the late 19th century during the industrial revolution, the city was known for its abundant deposits of iron ore, coal, and limestone, which made it a hub for steel production. Additionally, the growth of the railroad system facilitated trade and transportation, further attracting businesses and workers to the area.
