Answer

Under the policy of Appeasement between the world wars, the Allied powers were reluctant to stand up to Germany. British governments at the time felt guilty about the harsh peace terms of 1919, and public opinion started to waver concerning retribution towards Germany, particularly following the dismissal of all German war atrocity claims by 1928. This reluctance allowed Hitler to implement his policy of Living Space and Greater Germany. Hitler also backed up these moves witht he policy of self-determination, claiming that he was only occupying German lands. Britain sympathised and did nothing. As a result, Hitler felt he could ignore Britain, and betrayed Chamberleign by invading Czechoslovakia, which ultimately lead to the outbreak of war. It was Britain's misplaced sympathy towards Naziism and Hitler at the time that led to the war.

Also, this was all occurring only a few years after WWI. No one in Europe or the world for that matter wanted to deal with that kind of destruction again. They ignored the problem in hopes that it would go away, but as we know it did not. Chamberline was afraid to start a war which is why we should all be very thankful to Mr. Churchill for becoming Prime Minister. :)

What man was closely related to the policy appeasement?

The man closely related to the policy of appeasement is British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain. He is best known for his approach in the lead-up to World War II, particularly his efforts to avoid conflict with Nazi Germany by conceding to Adolf Hitler's demands, such as allowing the annexation of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia. Chamberlain famously declared that his actions would ensure "peace for our time," a sentiment that proved tragically misguided. His policy of appeasement has since been widely criticized for failing to prevent the outbreak of war.
