Because the colonies were valuable in economy from taxes and trade, tobacco, sugar and cotton were big sale sin Europe so the conies were good cash for England so they wanted to fight for it

plus it was land in America that could be sued to train men to attack french and Spanish elsewhere in North America and help with shipbuilding programs since England didn't have much wood left
