We need libraries to find information, study, read, and do text logs.In most libraries there are computers for you to use.
We need librarys so we can kkeeep records of our accomplishments and so we have information close by. I know we have the internet but the library can hold things that computers can't books(who knows Queen Elizibeth the Third might have read the exact same book your reading now), artifacts,ex. What I'm trying to say is that librarys have things, computers just have chips that can look up information for you or a picture. But a library could have what you're looking for. Also librarys are portals as I think they have books that take you to a whole other world full of adventure mand fantacy computers don't have that magic. THAT'S WHY WE NEED LIBRARYS!!:)
there would be no libraries.
1) Yes. Both are good things, I'll take them. 2) Yes. There are also medical libraries, art libraries, music libraries, and more! 3) If you need the history of libraries, then stop in your library and ask there.. not here. Go try a real library and real reference librarian, then come back to the internet.
No. There are a lot of for-profit libraries. Most for-profit libraries are corporate libraries, while non-profit libraries tend to be public libraries. Many libraries charge other libraries for the use of their resources - particularly if they have rare or subject specific items. This charge varies from library to library, however it is often very expensive for public libraries and they typically lose money in providing this service.

Many universities have online libraries. You usually need to be enrolled in that university to gain access to them.
Because libraries are prone to changes and unless you manage them, they could catch fire
Yes, in libraries (you will not be allowed to take them home with you, only consult them there). Different libraries stock different titles.
eBooks are not taking over libraries. Both eBooks and libraries need each other to exist. Like any other form of media, eBooks gain publicity by being available for free at local public libraries. Despite buying eBooks, libraries are still buying physical books and other media.
There are four main types of libraries:# Public libraries # School libraries - which includes those libraries found within schools (i.e. elementary, middle / junior high, secondary). # Academic libraries - which includes research libraries, as well as libraries associated with post-secondary institutions # Special libraries - which includes government libraries, corporate libraries, and rare book libraries

No, not all libraries offer document scanners for public use as it is not a requirement but a service offered sometimes to the library patrons. While many libraries do have this service, you need to inquire at your library of choice.
