OK, whoever put this answer is ridiculous!! Honestly?? I think a better explanation is the fact that Pakistan is an ally and we have had problems over there. There are many reasons as to why Pakistan is important to the U.S. and it's not because they have poor people...everywhere has poor people. Do we care about our enemies poor people....I don't think so. Most people don't even care about the U.S.'s poor people...so I highly doubt that's a reasonable answer.
