Why should you be thankful for veterans?

One of the reasons why it is important to be thankful for veterans is that these people are willing to put their lives on the line. They go to war zones and are willing to face danger and death. They have no intention to gain any fame. They do it so that the country people get peace and live with peace. Joining the military is a voluntary act and cant be forced on anyone. Also, these soldiers leave behind all wealth, family and friends and go to sacrifice their lives. Sometimes you never get to hear from them and they never get an opportunity to see their family. Yet they make this sacrifice. So it is important that the people of the country honor their veterans.

I do not know exactly what a veteran is, but I know it is some one older who has served in the armed forces or military. I give them my respect because he or she is a person who decided to serve their country, and even though some may not have made the right choices during that time, they made it because they thought it was right. Just like many normal people think they are right until they are corrected in some cases, every one has their own opinion and not everyone will agree with it, but it deserves to be respected. they deserve my respect for their contribution to the world and country. They fought to keep you and others free.
