After the French & Indian War, some events took place that made Americans realize their liberties were being denied. Since the War had brought debts for the British, they realized they needed to gain more money, so they started imposing taxes on the Colonists, something they didn't like. Some tried to "rebel" (Radical Whigs), while others wanted the tax removed, but they did not want to separate from Britain. An example of how the American's rights were being denied was that when a colonist served in the army they could not be anything higher than Colonel. Also, even though the colonists got a lot of new land, they were not allowed to settle in it. Governors and Generals also did not believe Americans were Englishmen, and they were treated badly. Britain also felt Americans needed protection so permanents troops were stationed in America, and the Americans had to house the troops.

In conclusion, the aftermath of the French & Indian War played a significant part as a starting point for the American Revolution.
